They're passed back to your account by the carrier, and as a result there may be a small additional cost for each receipt. Under the SMS heading, locate Always request delivery receipts, then toggle the switch to On: When would I turn off delivery receipts? You shouldn't. Without delivery receipts, you'll be unable to track the delivery rates or effectiveness of your campaigns, so we don't recommend turning them off.
