This article explains how to view and manage your SMS limit. The SMS limit refers to a setting that can be configured on your account that determines the number of SMS messages you are able to send within a day or month. They're an effective way to:
Control your usage.
Prevent user error whereby a user might upload a misconfigured file with more recipients than intended.
Prevent machine error whereby an integrated, automated system might send more messages than intended.
Important:
- Only users with Admin access can adjust an SMS limit.
- You cannot set the limit to a value higher than the system limit yourself, if you would like a limit higher than the system limit, you will need to contact our support team. The system limit can be viewed here:
- Setting an SMS limit means that the account can only send SMS messages up to the specified daily or monthly volume limit. Any messages exceeding this limit will be marked as Discarded in the log reports and will need to be manually resent either once the limit resets at the start of the next billing cycle, or after the limit is increased by an administrator/ our support team.
- We cannot set a temporary credit limit to revert/ change automatically after a set time period. Once you want the system limit to change again you would need to contact us.
