Identifying scam or phishing emails May 05, 2022 07:41 Updated TPG Telecom Messaging Hub are aware of an increasing number of companies becoming the target of phishing attacks. We at TPG Telecom take security seriously and want to help you protect yourself. If you receive an email claiming to be from TPG Telecom that seems suspicious, it may be a phishing email. A phishing email appears to be from a reputable source, but in reality it is sent from an outside party attempting to access your personal information by getting you to open an attachment containing malware or to click on a link that redirects to a potentially dangerous website. Some phishing emails may even contain a link to a website that looks like tpgtelecom.com but is not a legitimate site. The website may ask for your username and password or try to install unwanted software on your computer. If you receive a message like this, you should delete it without opening any attachments or clicking any links. Some ways to spot a scam email Does the subject of the email match the content of the email? Does it instruct you to click on a link to a sign-in page or open an attachment? Does it ask for sensitive information or for you to confirm your identity? Does the email have poor grammar and punctuation? Does the email come from a domain other than tpgtelecom.com or solutions.tpgtelecom.com?
